Join the British Red Cross in helping others

For over 150 years, the British Red Cross has supported people in the UK through the most difficult times. It is during times like these, we can only reach those who need help because of the kindness of people like you.

We know that connected communities are stronger communities, as a British Red Cross volunteer you will help to support your local community through these uncertain times.

If you would like to share your kindness, and are healthy, safe and well, we would love to have you on our team of volunteers. The more people we have ready to step up and help, the more communities we can help together.

By signing up as a community reserve volunteer there are three ways you can support:

- Check in and chat volunteer
- Community response volunteer
- Transport support volunteer

Please note that volunteers without access to transport, volunteers over the age of 70 or those with underlying health conditions will only be offered the check in and chat volunteer role. Please click here for Government advice on how to volunteer safely.

Please note that by pressing the submit button you agree with our terms and conditions.
